Brief DescriptionFor Business Math, Consumer Math, and Personal Finance courses (arithmetic-based) at the undergraduate level. Authors' PhilosophyBusiness Math, 7th Edition reflects more than 25 years of author involvement with business math education and the business community. Our teaching experience and our continuing interaction with business math instructors and students keep us on top of the changing needs of our students and their employers. Our focus in this edition is on linking mathematics with real business practices in real businesses. We hope this focus helps students gain a better appreciation for and understanding of the concepts that are vital in the business world. In the text and supplement package, we strive to provide both students and instructors with a full range of resources in print and electronic form to suit a variety of teaching and learning styles. New to this EditionNEW - Business Decision-Making Theme Students are taught the computational skill and then given multiple opportunities to apply the skill in real world business situations Motivational real-life situations Chapter opening scenarios use real products and real companies to illustrate the need for learning the concepts in the chapter. Two case studies are included at the end of each chapter. The cases focus on real products and companies and how the concepts of the chapter might be used. The studies are one-page, self-contained units complete with exercises. Solutions to the exercises are included in the AIE on the same page as the case study. A video case is included in 10 of the chapters that show how the business math concepts relate to actual situations in a real business. The same business is used in all ten videos so that students can get a better understanding of the complexities of a small business.
